Just saw Tabrett's new movie "The Clinic" In Sydney. Here is my review.

If you don't know what the movie is about, here is a quick breakdown.

Pregnant Beth (Tabrett) and her fiance stop at a seedy motel. Her fiance goes out to get some food and returns to find Beth gone, nowhere to be found. Beth wakes up in a tub of ice with her baby removed from her and thus starts the story of her survival and finding out what the hell is going on.

I personally loved the movie, it was really well done in a way where you feel for the characters especially Beth, she is heartbreaking as a mother trying to find her baby. Tabrett plays this role flawlessly. Her performance blew me away. I have only ever seen her as the Badass Mord'Sith, this role is at the complete opposite end of the acting spectrum. You believe she is going through an ordeal and you believe that she will stop at nothing to get her baby back. She was truly amazing, I cannot say enough good things about her performance, she will go far in this business. As far as the chemistry between Andy and Tabrett, it was totally there, you believed they were totally in love with each other.

The movie itself was very well done, in a way where it was creepy but not gory. The characters were drawn well, you knew everyone's personalty right off the bat and you knew exactly what was going on. I love horror movies but lately they have been dreadful, this movie redeems this genre and it is Australian which is even better, being Australian myself I really loved how well this movie was done. The mystery surrounding the story was done in a way where you don't ask yourself "Whats going on"? It left you with enough to wet your appetite but to not know everything.

The ending was great, I have a real issue with endings of movies cause most endings are bullshit but the twist in this movie I did not see coming and complimented the movie as a whole quite nicely.

There were a few parts, that were quite heart pumping these were due to Tabrett's convincing performance. A particular part near the end of the movie was really un-nerving. When you see it you should know what I am talking about. There was only one bit which I absolutely hated and wondered why they effing did that!

Alright so the nudity scene people are talking about. YES Tabrett is naked. Yes you see pretty much everything but she has a hot body so meh.  Did I mention the awesomeness of Tabrett's performance? Sorry but I just cannot get over how great she is in this!

Tabrett was not there. I would have liked to have told her how great her performance was. She was at the Melbourne screening, why not the Sydney one? I had a gift for her from the Seeker Fandom, now I dunno what imma do with it!. I think the producer or director was sitting in front of me cause he was counting how many people were in the cinema and yes it was pretty much full. Also after the movie I was talking about how Tabrett is my girl crush and how awesome she is and his head was turned as in listening to what I was saying and he was smiling. OR it could have been some random weirdo dude....

If I were to give it a rating out of 10 it would be an 8.5

So, I get there and so many people are dressed up as characters it really was phenomenal the effort these people put in! I messaged Liana and Jessica and eventually found them as I am so bad with directions I was running all over the place haha.
We met up and they were awesome! Really cool chicks to hang with!

I was standing in line to get my Eliza Dushku autograph and to the side of me was a stage, there was a partition that blocked my view but I could hear everything. I then hear "From Legend of the Seeker!" I turned and was like holy shit what?? I couldn't move cause I was in the line tho and I didn't wanna lose my place! (there was about 200 people behind me) I frantically called Liana about 4 times (she must of thought I was some psycho lol) Then as im calling her I see fans dressed up as Cara and Kahlan and I freaked out, but I couldn't move!!! I get a call from Liana and I said "I just saw Cara and Kahlan heading towards the exit go find them!" About 10 mins later the girls dressed up as them walked past me again but they changed from their outfits! I yelled out "CARA! KAHLAN! CARA!" They turned to me and I said, "come here!" They came up to me must of thought I was some freak. I explained I saw them in their outfits and freaked out cause I am a huge seeker fan, they said to me they changed cause the costumes were really uncomfortable. I asked them if they knew about the save our seeker campaign, they had NO clue, I explained it all and they were like "We didn't realize how many fans there were for seeker!". I finally let them go on their way then I saw a 6 year old in a Kahlan dress, was totally cute!

Liana, Jess and I went up to Hub productions and pimped out seeker to the person who runs it. She said she didnt know if there were enough fans to cover the costs but since she is a seeker fan she would love to have it. We gave her our emails and one of our save our seeker flyers and she said if anything happens she would email us the details. Aussie fans we really need to get on this and email them or send them letters telling them how much we want a seeker convention!

Liana, Jess and I decided to sit down for a bit, we discussed seeker at length, that was so fun cause no one I know likes seeker! So to talk to fans of the show and they actually know what I am talking about was a pure blessing!

After that I got in line for Charisma Carpenters autograph, as she was signing I said to her "BTW you're a wicked Mord'Sith" She replied with "That was such a fun fun fun fun fun fun fun role to play!"

Charisma's panel was the day before which was annoying cause I had all sorts of seeker questions lined up!

After it finished I went outside and on the ground I saw a small save our seeker flyer. I knew Liana and Jess had  printed out A4 save our seeker pages but this was not one of them. It looked like it had been on the ground for hours, It occurred to me that there was another seeker fan pimping the show either that day or the day before!

The day was awesome! Had a really great time and everyone there was so nice and awesome! Can't wait to go next year! It was a blast!

 

Alright guys so here's the sitch. I want to go to LA to see team IBY, yet I am broke as a joke and at this rate I will NEVER get there! Not in this lifetime not even close.
